At the Bristal at Westbury, residents enjoyed an autumn afternoon that was truly a cut above, with a seasonal immersive program to remember.
Welcoming Gregg the Woodcarver, residents and invited guests were wowed with a live chainsaw carving demonstration, which transformed locally harvested Long Island lumber into a lifelike work of art.
Residents also explored a unique exhibit featuring hand- and chainsaw-carved art pieces from three generations of woodcarvers, highlighting the patience, skill, and creativity behind each statue. As the crisp autumn air enveloped the scene, everyone bundled up in cozy blankets, sipped seasonal maple smoked drinks, and enjoyed assorted tree nuts by the fire pits.
With art, craftsmanship, and seasonal treats, it was an unforgettable afternoon celebrating tradition, creativity, and our lovely outdoor spaces.
