In May, The Bristal at Lynbrook celebrated the beauty and symbolism of nature with an immersive event themed The World of Flowers.
Residents were treated to a unique museum-style exhibit featuring fresh blooms, live plants, floral motifs in art, media, and fashion -- even colorful LEGO flowers.
Sensory experiences added depth to the day: aromatherapy diffused calming floral scents, while a tactile "flower soup" made of cold water, smooth river pebbles, and cut blossoms delighted residents to the touch.
During social hour, residents enjoyed floral, herbal teas and light, floral-inspired snacks. A special Lyrics & Legacy session explored flower-themed songs, meaningful lyrics, and their cultural impact, sparking conversation and fond reminiscence.
The day ended on a creative note with residents crafting pressed-flower bookmarks -- beautiful keepsakes of an experience that engaged the senses and connected them with the natural world.
