Aloha! From Mount Sinai

Residents at  The Bristal Assisted Living at Mount Sinai were transported to the islands during a Hawaiian Luau with Dance Aloha!

The community came alive with tropical colors, leis, and island decor, creating a festive atmosphere that recalled vacation vibes and life on the beach.

Traditional dancers from Dance Aloha dressed in grass skirts, feathered and floral headbands, and vibrant attire, which brought authentic Hawaiian culture to life. They shared the meaning behind hula, teaching residents graceful hand and arm movements that symbolize waves of the ocean, blooming flowers, and other illustrations of cherished stories. Residents joined in, swaying to the rhythm and discovering the beauty in each gesture.

As Lifestyle Director Jen shared, "Aloha has a much deeper meaning than hello or goodbye. It's a way of sharing the essence of life! It symbolizes warmth, generosity, and connectedness between people and nature."

With music and dancing at this joyful celebration of culture, it's clear that the spirit of Aloha was in the air for residents at Mount Sinai.
