Here in Lake Grove, we hosted our Annual Mini-Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Leading up to the walk, we had a table set up in our lobby with fall-themed decorations for sale, which were handmade by “Janie’s Helping Hands” group. We also sold Alzheimer’s Association purple bracelets. The proceeds from both will be donated to The Alzheimer’s Association. Residents and team members dressed in purple and paraded along our walking path which was lined with purple pinwheels and balloons. When the mini-walk concluded, everyone headed inside for purple-themed goodies and delicious hot chocolate made by Chef Amanda and resident, Mona.
