Resident artist, Al Strohmayer, was recognized this month with his own art exhibit. His extensive series of sketches, “Legends of Yankee Baseball” was well-received by both residents and staff alike. The traveling, socially-distanced Art Exhibit began in the morning in our Reflections neighborhood, and continued in the afternoon in the living room on the other side of the community. This allowed the artist to meet all of his fellow art and baseball fans! A longtime Yankees fan, Al recalls the magical moment in his life when he met The Great Bambino himself, Babe Ruth. Alfred is also a published author, and his short-story book, “It All Matters, Why We Are The Way We Are” is often integrated and read aloud by his fellow residents as part of our “Eversound Reading Roundtable” program.
