The Bristal at East Northport recently transported residents to the heart of France with a charming and immersive event.
Though last-minute guest speaker cancellations could have left a damper on the afternoon, the team and the residents rose to the occasion. With imagination and care, they turned the afternoon into a beautiful celebration of French art and culture.
The dining room was transformed into a mini-gallery, featuring classic French art reproductions alongside incredibly detailed miniature scenes created by the late mother of a team member, herself inspired by iconic French artists. Residents sipped French-inspired cocktails and enjoyed buttery croissants at a pop-up bistro while learning about the landmarks and stories of Paris. They also shared their own stories, experiences, and memories of time spent in France.
A collaborative Eiffel Tower painting session, initially planned to be muralist led, was instead joyfully hosted by the Lifestyle team members, with residents enthusiastically participating in the creation of a communal masterpiece.
From art appreciation to storytelling, this even proved that even with unexpected changes, the magic of Paris, and the strength and spirit of community, can shine.
