This year, Team Member Appreciation Week brought to life the spirit of Camp WSYH, a weeklong celebration filled with fun, connection, and gratitude. Across our communities, team members engaged in exciting activities, delicious food, and heartfelt moments that remind us all of the incredible spirit they bring to their work every day.
Every community embraced the celebration in their own unique way. Here are just a few examples of how they made the week unforgettable:
At The Bristal at Westbury, the week kicked off with a game of musical chairs, axe throwing, and a visit from Mr. Softee, followed by glamping-themed fun, mocktails, and games like Pass the Tee and Puff Wars. The weeklong celebration wrapped up with the theme Returning to NY featuring pizza, a DJ, and plenty of dancing. Lifestyle Director George shared, "From start to finish, our team brought great energy, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of community. We hope this has been the best one yet!"
The Bristal at Wayne embraced a rodeo theme with scavenger hunts, a saloon social, and their annual team favorite - a waterslide! Team members came dressed in their boots and bandanas to the BBQ, and enjoyed a live band, giveaways, and a free car wash! Lifestyle Director Beata said, "The week is ending too quickly!"

The Bristal at East Northport enjoyed mocktail coladas and donuts, as well as giveaways and raffle prizes. They kept the energy high with a visit from a caricature artist, a few rounds of balloon volleyball, water balloon toss, and scavenger hunt. They relaxed with massages and chuckled through a baby picture contest, but the highlight for them was the handwritten, heartfelt notes they received from residents.
At The Bristal at White Plains, they turned up the competition with a tug-of-war tournament, dance charades, and a three-legged race, all fueled by tacos, cotton candy, and a visit from the ice cream truck. According to Lifestyle Director Charmaine, "The vibes were nonstop energy and camaraderie!" The Bristal at Lake Success was all smiles and fun, with team members remarking that the week was full of laughter and connection.
The Bristal at Somerset brought the boardwalk to life with fun in the sun, creating a vibrant celebration that captured the spirit of summer, while The Bristal at North Woodmere's colorful team challenges, bonfire singalong, and karaoke captured the lively spirit of the week. Special thanks to Chief Operating Officer Amy Silva-Magalhaes for attending the Camper's Bash and for helping the Blue team to victory!
