During this year's National Assisted Living Week, we are thrilled to celebrate a very special honor: our own Pamela Rate, Lifestyle Coordinator, has been named an ESAAL All Star Award Recipient.
The Empire State Association of Assisted Living (ESAAL) has been a cornerstone of support for New York State's assisted living providers and residents since 1979. ESAAL serves more than 360 licensed communities, representing more than 32,000 senior New Yorkers. Through education, advocacy, and awareness, ESAAL works to strengthen the industry and ensure residents receive the quality of care and vibrant lifestyle they deserve.
Among other initiatives, ESAAL shines a spotlight on the dedicated professionals who bring compassion, creativity, and excellence into assisted living every day. The All Star Award recognizes individuals who rise above, save the day, or simply make life brighter for residents and colleagues alike.
This year, Pamela ("Pammy" to her coworkers) was nominated by her community for this prestigious award. For nearly three decades in senior living, including nine years at The Bristal at Mount Sinai, she has been a driving force of positivity and heart. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, Pamela has an extraordinary gift for creating meaningful moments and ensuring residents feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Whether she's organizing a program, sharing a smile, or surprising a coworker with a thoughtful gesture, Pamela goes above and beyond to make her community more compassionate and welcoming.
Her colleagues describe Pamela as a role model, an innovator, and someone who consistently uplifts others. Residents know her warmth and kindness, and families recognize the joy she brings into daily life. Quite simply, Pamela embodies what it means to be an all-star in assisted living.
We are proud to support ESAAL's mission, and we're even prouder to see Pamela recognized among the best in our industry. Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved achievement.
