This summer, The Bristal Assisted Living partnered once again with the New York Senior Softball Association (NYSSA) to host our annual The Bristal All-Stars Senior Softball Game - a lively celebration of community, connection, and America's favorite past-time.
Kerri Winans Kaley, Director of Business Development for The Bristal Assisted Living, had the special honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch to kick off the game. This year's event was extra meaningful, marking two significant 25th anniversaries: the unforgettable 2000 Mets-Yankees World Series and 25 years of The Bristal supporting older adults with vitality, dignity, and meaningful opportunities.
The players, an inspiring group of senior athletes ranging in age from 80 to 90+, took the field in custom jerseys branded for The Bristal, and Mets or Yankees caps. Their energy, sportsmanship, and love of the game reminded everyone in attendance that passion has no age limit.
Hosted in partnership with the Nassau County Department of Human Services Office of Aging and the Town of Hempstead, the event brought together families, friends, and local officials to cheer on the players and celebrate a cherished community tradition that has been a highlight for The Bristal for nearly 20 years.
At The Bristal, we believe in creating impactful moments for connection, fun experiences, and more reasons to celebrate. Our annual senior softball game is a perfect example of that commitment in action.
