On Sunday September 8th, The Bristal at Sayville hosted a party for Grandparents Day. Residents and their families came together to enjoy food, music, and different sport-themed activities. There were arena treats, like cotton candy, popcorn, and ice cream sundaes. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren played games like basketball and cornhole, much to the delight of their grandparents. There was even a piñata!
Pedro and Lee, Dining Room and Food Service directors, prepared hot dogs, wings, and other tasty snacks. The group Deep Zero turned the Bistro into a festive dance floor with live entertainment all afternoon. Residents, families, and team members danced together, and Sayville resident Mary taught everybody the electric slide.
The party ended with a raffle and some of the families took home some pretty cool prizes. Grandparents Day was a fun-filled celebration this year!
