Celebrating Love in Lake Grove

Here in Lake Grove, Valentine's Day was spent spreading love throughout the community. Leading up to the special day, residents had the opportunity to participate in a special crafting class where they made heart-shaped door decorations. On Valentine's Day, recreation team member Melissa led “The Bristal Singers Valentine’s Day Concert,” which was followed by a sweetheart luncheon in the bistro grille. Chef Amanda outdid herself with the menu, which featured a toast with a sparkling wine spritzer with raspberries, followed by creamy cauliflower and carrot soup, and a choice of rack of lamb, hand carved flank steak, or shrimp scampi for the entrée, and cheesecake with a chocolate covered strawberry on the side, for dessert. Our afternoon social featured a wonderful performance by Don & Susan which had residents dancing and singing along. Handmade cards from local students and delivered by the Middle Country Teachers Association added an even sweeter note to a wonderful day.
