The Bristal at Massapequa celebrated Mardi Gras with plenty of fun activities. We started the day with some Cajun Cardio and then headed to the Creative Arts Studio for a Mardi Gras mask-making workshop. Chef Tim created an delicious menu packed with dishes from the Big Easy. Residents enjoyed Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits, Voodoo Chicken Wings, Bourbon Street Banana Rum Pudding, and more. In addition to lectures exploring the history of the holiday and Creole culture, residents also watched a live feed of the parades. During our afternoon social, everyone enjoyed themed cupcakes and music. Laissez le bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
