Veterans Day was a day of honor at The Bristal at Massapequa. A photo collage of residents who served was prominently displayed in our lobby. We welcomed Army Veteran speaker, John Haines, who is one of the handlers for Abraham the Comfort Dog. Our veterans were invited to speak as well, and it was an inspiration to hear them share their stories with the community. Each of our veterans received a framed thank you, and then everyone enjoyed entertainment and a delicious Red, White and Blue Parfait that Chef Tim created.
Other activities included a beautiful luncheon hosted by Senator John Brooks at Dominican Village, held in honor of those that have served. Senator Brooks came to meet our residents personally. In addition to food and refreshments, live entertainment and a festive atmosphere made for a great day for our veterans!
