Driven by individuals seeking socially-distanced entertainment options, drive-in movie theaters are enjoying a rebirth. Malls, county parks and even local restaurants are hosting movie nights. While the variety of venues is great for movie-goers, it can be time-consuming to find an event near you. We have curated a comprehensive list of current drive-ins in the tri-state area. Since some of the flicks are announced last minute it is a great idea to follow your town’s Facebook and/or Instagram accounts.
New York
Nassau County
Bayville Drive-In Movie and Dinner
Hosted by Bayville Adventure Park, the drive-in series is playing movies Wednesday through Sunday. Movie-goers can select either an early or late showing, and your ticket includes a voucher for dinner. Tickets are $70 per car.
Movie start time: 8:15-8:45 p.m., dinner starts at 7 p.m.

Drive-In Movie Nights at Eisenhower Park
A program of Nassau County’s Parks, Recreation and Museums Department, the drive-in series is located in Eisenhower Park. Movies are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout August. Tickets are free, but reservations are required.

Concessions: Food is available for purchase, or you can bring your own.
Outdoor Movies and Drive-In
This pop-up movie series spans the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. Held at the Broadway Commons in Hicksville, tickets can either be purchased for a car or a pedestrian. Your ticket comes with a buy-one-get-one coupon for Blaze Pizza.
Movie start time: 7:30 p.m. trivia starts, movie begins between 8:15-8:45 p.m.

Quaratainment at Adventureland
While the rides remain closed, historic amusement park Adventureland is offering a Quaratainment package this summer. Tickets are $30 per person, or $100 per car and includes a dinner, bingo and a drive-in movie.

Town of Hempstead Summer Drive-In Movie Series
Open to Town of Hempstead residents only, the series rotates venues each week. Movies are shown Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the end of August. Tickets are free and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Suffolk County
Sag Harbor Cinema
If you are planning a trip to the East End, the Sag Harbor Cinema at Havens Beach is the perfect way to end your weekend. Scheduled for Sunday evenings in August, films include classics – Thelma and Louise, as well as Stand By Me. Tickets are $50 per car.

Smith Haven Mall Movie-Lot Drive-In Series
This pop-up movie theater is located in the Smith Haven Mall parking lot – making it ideal for central Suffolk County residents. Tickets are $40 per car, and the event is rain or shine.

Suffolk County Drive-In Movie Series
Rotating between two locations – the Suffolk County Community College’s Grant Campus and Smith Point County Park, the Suffolk County Drive-In Movie Series has dates scheduled through the end of August. Tickets are free, but reservations are required.

T-Mobile Summer Movie Series

Dutchess County Park Drive-In Movie Event
Hosted by Dutchess County Parks, the drive-in is located at Wilcox Park in Stanfordville. Tickets are free, but advance registration is required.

Fair Oaks Drive-In Theater
One of the few drive-in theaters still operational in New York, Fair Oaks has multiple screens and shows classic blockbusters. Ticket prices are $20 per car, or $40 per car which includes popcorn, bottled drinks, and candy.

Four Brothers Drive-In Theater
A newcomer to the drive-in scene, Four Brothers Drive-In Theatre plays movies seven days per week with rotating theme nights. Tickets must be purchased in advance -- $11 for adults and $6 for children.
