The Bristal at White Plains was delighted to celebrate Grandparents Day with residents and their families and friends.
A Magician was a star of the day, delighting residents and their grandchildren alike with close-up and illusion magic. Families also enjoyed the photo opportunity to take a memento home from the day.
Executive Chef Matthew Ventura created a delectable feast for social hour which was enjoyed by all.
The Bristal at White Plains would also like to offer a very special thank you to the members of the Cars and Coffee Group, who held an impromptu car show for residents to enjoy with their families. Residents were especially fascinated by the new Tesla Cyber Truck, and while grandchildren marveled at the sight up close, grandparents wasted no time in offering honest critiques of "the weird spaceship". Residents had candid conversations with the various drivers and held lively conversations, posing for pictures with the favorite cars.
It was a lovely day to celebrate the special place that grandparents have in our hearts. As Joyce Allston said, "Grandparents, like heroes, are as necessary to a child's growth as vitamins." We are grateful for the time we have to celebrate these occasions together.
