In honor of Assisted Living Week, The Bristal Assisted Living at Wayne hosted a Hibachi Dinner.
The well-attended, live cooking demonstration and subsequent meal took place outside the patio. Food Service Director John took the lead on the flat-top grill, making chicken, vegetables, and fried rice, with the flair of a true hibachi chef. He dazzled the diners with finesse, and even created the onion tower volcano one might see at a hibachi restaurant.
Fun fact: Hibachi is the word for an open-topped Japanese grill, originally using charcoal as the primary heat source for cooking.
A great meal on a beautiful day in celebration of Assisted Living Week!
