The Bristal at Lake Success hosted an Italian Day for residents. Our recreation assistant, Courtney, led a cooking demonstration where residents made homemade pasta.
Residents helped Courtney knead, roll-out, and run the dough through a pasta maker. There are numerous residents at Lake Success who were born in Italy and speak Italian. Spending an afternoon making pasta transported them back to their family's kitchens in Italy, while giving other residents a true taste of Italian culture.
