Residents at The Bristal at Bethpage embarked on an unforgettable journey around the world, without leaving their community! Their voyage took them to Venice, Italy; Cairo, Egypt; Kyoto, Japan; Paris, France, and Mexico City, Mexico.
The adventure included an engaging opera talk with Tanisha Mitchell about the French opera La Bohème, followed by a hands-on pasta-making session where residents learned the origins of handmade pasta and shaped their own creations for a special dining experience. Later, dancer Junko Fosher guided everyone through the five traditional Japanese dances, including some of her native Okinawa, captivating the group with her artistry.
The journey continued with a social featuring Aperol Spritz, arancini, and macarons, followed by a stroll through a curated museum display celebrating the beauty and culture of each country. The day concluded with a 'walk down memory lane,' adding pins to a world map to mark the adventure and relive the global experiences.
