Knitting for a Cause in East Meadow

Marlene P., a resident of The Bristal at East Meadow, has been teaching basic knitting to her fellow residents. The group, called Helping Hands, gathers every week on Wednesday mornings to work together on knitting projects. Their goal is to make items for children in hospitals, as well as cancer patients. They also knit for family and friends. Marlene is very active in our community and residents like her group because they enjoy the social aspect. Thank you Marlene for sharing your gift with the community!
