The Bristal at Lake Grove took a deep dive into the abyss with an immersive ocean adventure and what a memorable day it was!
Residents perused museum-like displays, exploring fascinating marine creatures and mysteries of the deep. A touch tank brough the sea to life for the senses, with authentic shark teeth, starfish, sand dollars and more to explore.
It was an engaging day for all. Students from Stony Brook's Marine Biology program fascinated residents by revealing the surprising biodiversity of the Long Island Sound. The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society hosted an interesting lecture which paired perfectly with shrimp cocktail.
To close the day of immersive events, residents gathered for a screening of Jaws, celebrating the 50th anniversary of its release. The movie was accompanied by a specialty Shark Bite cocktail, crafted and prepared by the talented Food Service Director.
As Lifestyle Director Michael put it, "Who says you need to leave land to take an unforgettable trip under the sea?"
