Residents of The Bristal at Massapequa recently enjoyed a rejuvenating Day of Mindfulness, centered on the Art of Meditation.
The day began with a creative crafting session, where residents designed beautiful Buddha heads using paint and shimmering gold gemstones to symbolize peace and enlightenment.
Next, residents explored the ancient Kirtan Kriya meditation under the guidance of instructor Ray Torres from Age Well Recreation, engaging in an interactive and enriching experience. Residents then returned to further artistic pursuits, sketching meditative poses and hand gestures demonstrated by a live model, further connecting with the calm and focus of cultivated throughout the day.
To conclude the tranquil experience, everyone was immersed in a soothing sound bath, where gentle tones and vibrations encouraged deep relaxation and reflection. It was an immersive day that beautifully combined creativity, mindfulness, and serenity, nurturing mind and spirit.
