The past few months have been very busy at The Bristal at Lake Grove. Members of the recreation team have come up with creative solutions for residents to stay active, engaged and connected, while practicing social distancing. Staff members donned sombreros to stroll the hallways while delivering freshly made churros and sangria to residents on Cinco de Mayo. The special ladies in our community took center stage on Mother's Day and enjoyed the fresh flowers and gourmet desserts they were delivered by members of the recreation team. Memorial Day was a somber event, where residents and staff remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of their country.
There were plenty of regular celebrations too -- including Agnes B.'s 92nd birthday! Her family, along with team members, made sure it was a day to remember. From placing gigantic lawn signs for her see when she woke-up to a car parade and of course, lots of presents -- Agnes felt the love!
We often refer to our team as super heroes, so a themed-staff appreciation day was perfect way to recognize their dedication and commitment. Team members wore their favorite super hero costumes and enjoyed a full mashed potato bar from our talented chef.
