Stepping Back in Time in Woodcliff Lake

The Bristal at Woodcliff Lake decided to travel back in time as a part of their anniversary event. Residents and staff attended a program highlighting the history and growth of the town of Woodcliff Lake. We had Carol, our resident council president, as well as a local historian, give a brief lecture on the different types of historical discoveries in our town. She brought several historical items courtesy of the Pascack Historical Society, including several gastroliths -- fossilized gizzard stones -- that were discovered in town left behind by dinosaurs. She also brought an ancient pounder that was used by the local Lenape tribe for residents to try. Marie, another resident, is the former first wife of the mayor of Woodcliff Lake -- she gave an overview on the changes the town saw during the 15 years her husband served as mayor. It was an interesting and exciting afternoon learning more about our community!
