In honor of Grandparents Day, the North Woodmere community of The Bristal Assisted Living enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with family and friends. Live music accompanied the celebration, which featured a sundae bar filled with sweet treats, a kids craft corner, face painting, and balloon animals.
A featured moment of the day was the Award Ceremony. Grandchildren made special souvenirs for their grandparents, and individually presented their grandparents with "The Best Grandparent Award". Each child said something special about their grandma or grandpa and presented the award to them. One little one touched the hearts of everyone in the crowd by saying, "He's the best grandpa because he is so kind and thoughtful."
There was also a beautiful, autumn-themed raffle prize given away.
Residents, family, and team members had the best time gathering together celebrating and spending time together. One team member said, "Seeing those happy faces really makes these occasions so worth it!"
