On Sunday, August 4th, National Sisters Day was a special occasion at The Bristal at North Woodmere, as three sisters commemorated over 90 years of sisterhood together.
Mary (95), Kathleen (93), and Teresa (90), all moved to The Bristal at North Woodmere last year. Kathleen was the one who initiated the move. She was looking for assisted living for herself because she was tired of maintaining her home and wanted to be able to relax and enjoy her golden years. Kathleen said, "I knew my sisters felt the same way too, so I convinced them to move to The Bristal also."
Mary chimed in, "We didn't need much convincing, we are in our 90s!"
The sisters have been close their whole lives, so they didn't think it was a surprise that they all decided to move in to The Bristal together. "We have always been very close," said Teresa. "Our mother insisted that we always stay close and be apart of each other's lives."
Kathleen learned about The Bristal from her grandson, Dan Cully, the Human Resources Business Partner. The family is very close and they all celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions together. "It's like having three grandmas," Dan said.
