Weekend visits to the local farmer’s market is a tradition for many. Baskets of brightly colored vegetables and juicy fruit fresh from the field line the shelves awaiting their turn in the kitchen, while the scent of freshly baked pies (and cider donuts!), teases from the bakery. Most markets are open year-round and offer much more than produce – think wood-fired pizzas and even tasting rooms. Here are some of the best farm stands to visit in the tri-state area.
